Dover, Delaware – The Delaware State Police have launched an investigation into a shooting incident that occurred on the night of May 6th in Dover, leaving a 19-year-old man injured.

 


Authorities responded to a call at approximately 11:43 p.m. in the 1500 block of South Governors Avenue. Upon arrival, troopers discovered that the young man had sustained a gunshot wound to his leg while leaving a nearby party. He was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and subsequently released. During the incident, multiple vehicles in the area, as well as the nearby Touchdown bar and Valero gas station buildings, were also struck by bullets.

Fortunately, no other injuries were reported, and investigators have recovered several bullet casings from the scene. At present, no information regarding the suspect is available.
