Upcoming film “A Haunting in Venice” is a supernatural thriller that will be released in theaters on September 15, 2023. It is based on Agatha Christie’s novel “Hallowe’en Party” and directed by and starring Kenneth Branagh as the famous detective Hercule Poirot. The story is set in post-World War II Venice on Halloween and follows Poirot, now retired and living in the city, as he attends a spooky séance at a haunted palazzo. When one of the guests is murdered, he becomes embroiled in a dark world of secrets and shadows.

The film is directed by Kenneth Branagh, with a screenplay by Michael Green, and produced by Branagh, Judy Hofflund, Ridley Scott, and Simon Kinberg. The ensemble cast includes Kyle Allen, Camille Cottin, Jamie Dornan, Tina Fey, Jude Hill, Ali Khan, Emma Laird, Kelly Reilly, Riccardo Scamarcio, and Michelle Yeoh. This team of filmmakers previously worked together on the movies “Murder on the Orient Express” and “Death on the Nile.”

Agatha Christie’s novel “Hallowe’en Party” is a mystery novel featuring the famous detective Hercule Poirot. The story takes place during a Halloween party where a young girl boasts of witnessing a murder. However, no one takes her seriously until she is found drowned in a bucket of water. Poirot is called in to investigate the murder and soon finds himself uncovering a web of secrets and lies amongst the guests. The novel was first published in 1969 and is one of Christie’s later works.
